Verna Fitzsimmons, former CEO and dean of K-State Polytechnic, gifted the campus a sculpture titled "Special K" with the hope students, faculty and staff would use it to capture some of their campus memories.

Campus life
Students needing a little extra help with their assignments this semester can find support in the campus’s Writing Center and with peer tutoring, and both resources are now taking appointments. 
Calling all creatives! The office of enrollment management and marketing at K-State Polytechnic is offering a cash prize to the top three winners of a new T-shirt design contest. The selected creations also will be produced and sold in the campus book store.

Scholarship opportunities
All Majors
The Leaders Save Lives blood drive runs from June 1 to August 31 . This program is designed specifically for students ages 16-24 years old and allows them to host a blood drive and earn money and possibly win one of six $1,000 scholarships. If students want to work as a team there are limitations but options as well. Please contact Dené Sheridan in the Fiscal Services office if you are interested.
Employee Tuition Assistance
Some K-State employees may be eligible for employee tuition assistance. Up to 3 credit hours of tuition a semester is possible. Must be a full-time (0.9 FTE or above), benefits-eligible position. For more information, visit http://www.k-state.edu/sfa/manage/forms/eta1.pdf .
Dependent/Spouse Grant
Dependents and spouses of full-time (0.9 FTE or above), benefits eligible, regular appointment employees may qualify for the dependent/spouse grant – up to 7 hours for full-time, undergraduate dependents and 3 hours for spouses and graduate dependents.
