HOME & SCHOOL ASSOCIATION
|
Our next Home & School Meeting will be this Friday, February 26th, in the cafeteria after drop off.
We hope to see you all there.
|
Lent is upon us. As a mission of the church, the school hosts one of the Lenten Soup and Sandwich lunches held on Wednesdays during the season. The meal is provided to those who attend the 11:00am mass each Wednesday during Lent.
Our meal will be provided on March 2nd.
Home and School
along with the Advisory Council are the primary hosts, but if you, as a family within the school and a member of Home and School, would like to help, please
to sign up. We provide soups, sandwiches, desserts and can always use an extra helping hand to serve those who attend.
Email Tara O'Keefe
, chair for Lenten Soup and Sandwich, with any questions.

The Stephen Breen Wildcat Basketball Challenge will begin on Monday,
February 29th and go through Friday, March 11th. This is a wonderful time to
support a great cause and watch some great 6th & 7th grade basketball too! But we
need your help!
We will need some adult and youth volunteers to help
with the concessions and collecting money at the door. Youth
volunteers will receive service hours. If your interested in helping, please sign up here.

IN CASE YOU HAVEN'T HEARD.....
|
This school year, we have a new policy in place regarding picking up your children for appointments. To maximize classroom instruction time, we will call your student out of class at soon as you arrive on campus to sign them out.

PARKER SCHOOL UNIFORMS SALE
|
Thank you to all the students, parents, and grandparents who purchased books during our Scholastic Book Fair. We had a great fair and earned a cash profit of $3,675.69. In addition, the Library will have the equivalent of $3,829.75 in "Scholastic Dollars" to purchase books from Scholastic. Thanks to everyone who purchased books to donate to classrooms. During the Book Fair, 132 books were donated.
Thank you to Carrie Gernhauser for coordinating volunteers, and to Heather Avila for making the Teacher Wish List board.
We could not have a successful Book Fair without all the wonderful parents, friends, and teachers who volunteered their time to help set up, work shifts during the fair, and to help pack up. Again, thank you for your support.

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY
|
The National Junior Honor Society worked hard for a week to sell St. Valentine grams. Part of the profits were being donated to Mother and Unborn Baby Care through Saint Andrew Catholic Church. The NJHS officers and Mrs. Reed presented Mrs. Davis with a donation check.
Thank you to all who purchased a gram and helped the National Junior Honor Society donate to a wonderful cause!

Sanctus Retreat Prayer Campaign
|
St. Andrew Parish will be conducting various Sanctus Retreats in the next couple of months. The next one is scheduled for February 27, 2016. We invite you to join us in prayer for the success of the Sanctus Retreat, the Retreat team and Retreat participants. The prayer campaign asks that you stop one minute of your day and pray for the Holy Spirit to ignite the faith of those involved in the retreat.
"Come Holy Spirit and ignite the faith of my
brothers and sisters at the Sanctus Retreat.
May the Holy Spirit assist them with greater
understanding of scripture and prayer and
be a companion to them throughout the retreat."
Amen
Everyone is invited to participate in this Retreat Day Prayer Campaign. Please share this opportunity with friends, family, and other parishioners.
