CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK
In celebration of Catholic Schools Week, students of Saint Andrew are allowed to wear a sweatshirt of their choice and/or tennis shoes of their choice, on  Thursday, February 4th The sweatshirt is to be worn with  their  school uniform. (pants/skirt/jumper/uniform shirt)

As always, please use your good judgment. Teachers and administration have the final call on anything worn to school.

Thank you for your support of Catholic Education!!

OUR FAITH: ADORATION
"Come to Me, all who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

"Eucharistic Adoration is adoring or honoring the Eucharistic Presence of Christ.  During Eucharistic Adoration, we "watch and wait", we remain "silent" in His Presence and open ourselves to His Graces which flow from the Eucharist ... By worshiping the Eucharistic Jesus, we become what God wants us to be! The Lord draws us to Himself and gently transforms us.
The Eucharist is: Jesus truly present - Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity!" ( http://www.catholic-church.org/kuwait/eucharistic_adoration.htm )

Because, as Catholics, we believe that Christ is truly present in the Eucharist, the Blessed Sacrament is given the same adoration and devotion that is accorded to Christ.

Come spend time in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament in the Saint Andrew Parish chapel on Mondays between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each week. Adoration is open to everyone. The more time you spend with Jesus, the more you will come away feeling renewed and healed.

parishes in the Diocese of Fort Worth.
MOTHER AND UNBORN BABY CARE
Every year Saint Andrew Catholic Parish collects money for the Mother and Unborn Baby Care Center located in downtown Fort Worth. The center began 31 years ago and is the only all-volunteer pro-life pregnancy center located in our Diocese. The center needs our continued financial support.

Mrs. Button has graciously allowed the parish Sanctity of Life Committee to expand the collection to include our school community. They have provided each class with a baby bottle for collecting donations from the students. All of the money collected goes directly to Mother and Unborn Baby Care and in turn to the families who are experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. Thank you for your support.
BOOK FAIR
Our "Feelin Groovy" Book Fair will run through Friday, February 5th.  We will be open from 7:30am - 3:30pm in the library each day, with the exception of February 5th, when we will be open until 12:30pm, because of early dismissal.  This book fair is a fundraiser for our library and would not be possible without our parent volunteers.

We still have lots of shifts to fill and would love to have your help!   As a volunteer you can sign up to  help with the cash registers (they are really very easy to learn and easy to use!) or help during Open House and/or Grandparent's Day which will be very busy, and/or help set up or tear down the book fair.

Please click here to sign-up  for a shift or two or  as many shifts as you want!  Thank you!

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY
The National Junior Honor Society will be selling "St. Valentine" grams on
Wednesday, Thursday, and Monday before and after school. They will also have a table set up in the cafeteria during Bingo on Grandparents Day. The cost for grams is 50 cents for a sticker gram, $1 for a small gift gram, and $2 for a stuffed animal gram.

All proceeds from gram sales will go toward purchasing items for the military and mothers in need. Buy grams for your teachers, siblings, and friends!
GRANDPARENTS/GRANDFRIENDS DAY
