Play Like a Champion

If you are planning on coaching one of our sports teams this year, Playing Like a Champion Coaches Training is required. If you took the training last year, you will not have to take it this year.  It is required every 3 years. The training will be held this Saturday, August 22nd, from 9:00am - 12:00pm in the SAS Gym.

Safe Environment

The next available Keeping Children Safe Class being offered at Saint Andrew Catholic School will be held on September 23rd from 5:30pm - 7:30pm in the Parish Hall. This is an initial training for those of you who have never taken a live session. Please email Lisa Harrington to sign up for this session. Remember, if you plan on volunteering or visiting our campus you must have this class.

The Keeping Children Safe training is good for 3 years. If you have already taken the training, Lisa Harrington, Safe Environment Coordinator, will notify you within the next few weeks if you are in need of a renewal session.

Classes being held throughout the entire diocese are listed on the Diocesan website.

7th and 8th Grade Sock Hop
The Student Council will be hosting a Sock Hock for 7th & 8th grades on Saturday, August 29th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm in the gym.

Refreshments will be served. The attire is casual dress.  Admission is only $2.00 and 2 cans of food for Social  Ministries.

Socks only on the gym floor - no shoes or bare feet!

Around the Campus

In May, 2015, the "Saint Francis Wildscape Prairie" was established. This is a section of land behind the Saint Andrew Catholic School baseball/softball diamond. It is located just beyond the scoreboard in right field. This area will be used by the science department and science classes for outdoor exploration, observation and research.

Plant species native to Texas, such as Buffalo Grass, Red Oak and Texas Sage, are present. There are also some introduced species, such as Dalis Grass. More native species will be added in the future.

Marble Slab Creamery Save the Date

Marble Slab Creamery will be offering a special day for Saint Andrew Catholic School Families. Go grab some ice cream on August 29th, all day and our school will receive 25% of the proceeds.

Spiritual Life
The Spiritual Life Committee, which is part of the Home and School Association, helps to nourish a spiritual bond between the students, parents, teachers, staff and administration at Saint Andrew Catholic School by moving in a positive direction through Christ. The goal is to show Christ like qualities through prayer, weekly & monthly rosaries, and community support. There are several ways to get involved with Spiritual Life.
