VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR AUCTION SETUP
Set-up for the SAS Auction will begin at 9:00am the morning of the auction, Saturday April 30th, at River Ranch. Volunteers are needed to help the River Ranch staff with things like sweeping, changing table linens and decorations from the event the night before.

It should only take a couple of hours if we have enough volunteers. We'll have bagels and coffee to keep everyone energized!

This is a great opportunity for Nolan students and SAS 7th and 8th graders to gain service hours before the deadline in May.  A parent must stay with any SAS 7th or 8th graders who volunteers.

MAY CROWNING & LIVING ROSARY
Saint Andrew Catholic School's annual May Crowning will take place on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 2:00pm in the Church.  We gather to honor Mary during this special service, a long standing tradition of our 8th grade students.  One girl and one boy from the eighth grade class are selected each year for the honor of placing a beautiful crown of flowers on the statues of Mary and Joseph.

We invite family and friends to share in this devotion, and we ask all students to bring flowers on Monday morning to honor Mary. We ask that you do not send the bright neon colored/dyed flowers and flowers with glitter. They tend to be a little messy!

The May Crowning will be f ollowed by a Living Rosary led by our 8th Grade students.

GIRL SCOUT SHOE DRIVE FOR CATHOLIC CHARITIES

Fifth grade Junior Girl Scout Troop 3021 is conducting a shoe drive throughout the month of April to benefit the children and adults living at Urban Manor, a housing complex operated by Catholic Charities. Many of the families living there are refugees and have come here to start a new life.

The troop is collecting gently used and new shoes for children and adults. All kinds and sizes are welcome.  This is a great opportunity to clean out the closets this spring and donate those outgrown shoes that are collecting dust....

The girls will have collection boxes in the school foyer through April 29th.
They will deliver all the shoes to the residents in May, as part of their community service Bronze Award project.

The girls thank you in advance for your support with this project. You are helping them to make a difference in the lives of others! God bless you.

All Bear drive participants are also welcome to attend the Teddy Bear Picnic on Sunday, May 1st from 2:00pm-4:00pm at The Trailhead at Clearfork. Admission is a new bear . There will be food, music, bounce houses, face painting and lots more fun!

You will receive 20% off your bear purchase through one of the Bear Drive partners i f you mention that the bear you are buying is for a Cook Children's patient! (buybuyBaby, Kay's Hallmark, and the Cook Children's Build a Bear Workshop)
