Yard Signs
Any family or Grandparent that does not yet have an SAS yard sign may stop by the office and pick up one.  The signs are a GREAT marketing tool for all the neighborhoods where our SAS students reside.  Thank you for displaying your SAS pride!

Book Fair News

Thank you to all the students, parents, and grandparents who purchased books during our Scholastic Book Fair. This was the most successful 8th Grade Book Fair to date. The 8th Grade earned $3,671.48 from sales. In addition, 157 books were donated to classrooms, and the Scholastic Customer Rewards program will enable us to add approximately $1,000.00 worth of books to the school library shelves. We appreciate your generous support.

A special thank you to Carrie Gernhauser and Belinda Farley for coordinating volunteers, helping with decorations, and chairing this event. Thank you to Janet Clarson, our Librarian, for coordinating the entire event. Thanks to all the 8th Grade students who worked shifts during the Book Fair and to Mr. Kincannon for scheduling student work times. A huge thank you goes out to the many people who volunteered their time to work a shift (or two or three) during the fair. We could not do it without you!

Thank You
Officer Chromaster
Officer Mendoza
Officer Bachim
Thank you to Police Officers Bachim, Mendoza and Chromaster for taking time out of their busy schedules to spend time with our 4 year old preschoolers. As a service project, the 4 year olds are praying for the safety of Police officers everywhere.

Congratulations
Christina Muniz, SAS 8th grader, was honored as Youth Volunteer of the year for the Gulf State Division at Life Care Centers of America at Garden Terrace Alzheimer`s Center.  They quoted in the award letter that the her service showed the wisdom of interaction with their patients and the value that can be gained from this service.  Christina received a $500 check to be given to her school.  Thank you, Christina, for being a fine example of service.
