NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY
North Texas Giving Day is this week,
Thursday, September 20 th

Donations made on North Texas Giving Day are allocated to the Annual Fund, however the funds raised on NTXGD are being earmarked for two fast approaching special projects.

1. Replacement of the soccer field bleachers.
The current bleachers are way beyond their prime and will be replaced with 4 sets of new aluminum bleachers. These bleachers will make their debut at the Fall Festival for 3 on 3 basketball seating and will be used for football, soccer, run club, and field day activities.
2. Completing the new reception/office area for the new school entrance.
The new school reception/office area will provide a more welcoming and safer entrance to the school. Furnishing and finishing out this area is outside the scope of the original plan.

To help us with these projects, make plans to “Get Up and Give” on Thursday, 9/20 between 6:00am and midnight.

You can also schedule your donation right now !  Just click  here  to go to our profile page and select the “DONATE NOW” button. Scheduled gifts are eligible for prizes and bonus funds!

NOTES FROM THE NURSES

Welcome to September!  As we all prepare for fall and cooler weather there are a few things we would like you to keep in mind.

1.   Moving into cold and flu season, please stress the importance of good hand hygiene with your child.  Wash hands frequently, or use hand sanitizer; especially after coughing or sneezing.
2.   Please remind your child not to share food or drinks with any other student- this is another way to help prevent the spread of germs.
3.   Please make sure your child eats breakfast before coming to school.  This helps to fuel the body so your child is prepared to learn and can function at his or her best.
4.   The health page on the school website has been updated, please visit it and review the information.
5.   St. Andrew Catholic Church will be offering a Community Wellness fair on October 6 from 9am to noon, in the Parish Hall.   FREE  flu shots, blood pressure screenings and much more.

If you have any questions or concerns about your child, please do not hesitate to contact us.    Bette Felder, RN and Michelle Russell, RN
