If you are planning on coaching one of our sports teams this year, Playing Like a Champion Coaches Training is required. If you took the training last year, you will not have to take it this year. It is required every 3 years. The training will be held this Saturday, August 29th, from 9:00am - 12:00pm in the SAS Gym. |
The next available Keeping Children Safe Class being offered at Saint Andrew Catholic School will be held on September 23rd from 5:30pm - 7:30pm in the Parish Hall. This is an initial training for those of you who have never taken a live session. Please
email Lisa Harrington to sign up for this session.
Remember, if you plan on volunteering or visiting our campus you must have this class.
The Keeping Children Safe training is good for 3 years. If you have already taken the training, Lisa Harrington, Safe Environment Coordinator, will notify you within the next few weeks if you are in need of a renewal session.
Classes being held throughout the entire diocese are listed on the
Diocesan website.

This week, all SAS Parents should receive their Annual Fund packets in the mail. If your packet is not received by next week, extra packets can be picked up in the school office.
PLEASE consider INCREASING your Annual Fund this year. There are a number of foundations that will double the full amount of your gift. For example, if you increase your pledge from $250 to $300, they will double the full $300. That is huge for SAS.
Also, for all of our NEW parents and grandparents, if you give ANY amount as a new gift your donation will also be doubled the full amount.
Remember last year we had 85% of our SAS parents give to the Annual Fund. With your cooperation, we know we can make 100%! God bless you all.
For more information,
email Rose Hall, SAS Development Director or call her at 817-292-4355.

Have you ever visited the school lunchroom or looked around at dismissal and thought, "I don't know how these teachers do it!" They are a true Godsend and praying for them is one of the simplest ways to fortify them in their work. Sign up to be a parent-teacher prayer partner and they will also be praying for you!
Many more prayer enthusiasts are needed for this special ministry and parents (moms and dads), grandparents and friends are strongly encouraged to volunteer. Who doesn't need a few extra prayers? Plus it only takes a minute of your day.
We will partner you with a member of the school team, provide a prayer card as a visual reminder and send occasional tips for new ways to pray and deepen your faith. If you are called to volunteer, please
email Deb Boehmler.

Box Tops & Campbell Soup Labels
|
Please
continue to send box tops and Campbell soup labels to the office.
By participating in the Boxtops for Education program, SAS receives $.15 per box top. Box tops can be found on cereal, frozen foods, snack items, baking products and many more items. Last year we earned $2700 because of your support.
The Labels for Education enables us to earn points that can be redeemed for Arts, Athletics, and Academics merchandise.

The Spiritual Life Committee, which is part of the Home and School Association, helps to nourish a spiritual bond between the students, parents, teachers, staff and administration at Saint Andrew Catholic School by moving in a positive direction through Christ. The goal is to show Christ like qualities through prayer, weekly & monthly rosaries, and community support. There are several ways to get involved with Spiritual Life.
Please click here to read more information about the Spiritual Life Committee.
If you would like to volunteer or just need a little more information, please email Deb Boehmler
