Dear Parents
This past weekend, we celebrated Labor Day.
We celebrated by "resting" an extra couple of days!
In worship this weekend, we heard about God's command to worship.  It's so easy in our "busy" lives to take a day off from worship. God is very clear in His third commandment. "Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy".  Martin Luther, in the Small Catechism says that this means, "We should fear and love God so that we do not despise preaching and His Word, but hold it sacred and gladly hear and learn it."
Our children see how we honor His commands by what we do every day.  In the busyness of your life, I pray that you find His JOY in the Sabbath.

JOY!

Help Needed - Childcare Hours Available
We are currently looking for someone to fill a childcare position assisting with infant classes on Tuesday mornings.  If you enjoy caring for children and are looking for a few extra hours this is ideal for you.  Classes start September 12 and run through November 14.  Please contact Shelley Bonin at 262-510-3357 or  [email protected] if you are interested.  Thank you!

MAP Testing
Starting late September and early October students in 1st - 8 th grade will take Measures of Academic Progress ® (MAP ® ) tests to determine each child's instructional level and to measure academic growth.  Our teachers will work with a consultant in October for professional development using the data to focus on each child's individual growth and maximizing achievement.  We look forward to talking with you at parent-teacher conferences about these scores. Partnering to help all kids learn and grow as God has planned, parents and teachers can have a profound impact on the lives of His children. We are blessed! For more information on resources for parents, please download the Parent's Guide To MAP or contact Crissy Peterson,  [email protected] .

JK3 and JK4 Afternoon Class Arrival/Dismissal
After a few days of our school routine, we would like to adjust our times for JK3 and JK4 afternoon class dismissal.  We will schedule the ramp door to unlock for your arrival around 12:05pm and we would like parents to pick up their child from the classroom at 3:05pm. We hope this will allow you to better find parking spaces and alleviate congestion in the hallway and parking lot.  Please remember drop off and pick up is directly in the classroom for JK3 and JK4.  Parents are welcome to wait by the ramp door for older children dismissed at 3:15pm.  Thank you for adjusting these times!

1st-4th Grade Cub Scouts
Cub Scout Pack 599 invites 1st - 4th grade boys and their families to attend our Join Scouts Night on Monday, September 18, starting at 6:00 pm.  We do all sorts of fun things in Cub Scouts, like launching rockets, camping, attending sporting events, and of course building and racing Pinewood Derby cars!  While the boys are having all that fun, they are developing lifetime values, citizenship, and duty to God.   At 6:00 pm, boys and parents who are new to Cub Scouts should meet in the Grange Campus Chapel to learn more about what we do in Pack 599.    Following that, join all the Scout families at 6:30 pm in the Grange Campus Fellowship Hall for our first Pack meeting of the school year featuring a magic show and balloon creations from Jester Fun Entertainment!   For questions, contact Cubmaster David Graat at  [email protected]  or 262-227-3703.
