| Carnival Glass |
 | Marigold Carnival Glass Bowl |
| |
This vintage marigold (close to pumpkin) satin iridescent 9.5" bowl boasts a wavy ruffle edge that is fluid and graceful. The rim of this shallow "bowl" is two inches from the base; some may call it a plate. The entire exterior surface of the bowl is graced with the pattern of leaves and what looks like sprays of wheat in low relief. It does not appear to have iridescence to the underside. There is no interior pattern but the inside color is strong and has great iridescence. There are a few small scratches to the finish on the inside of the bowl which doesn't affect its beauty when displayed; maker is unknown. There is a production or tool mark on the inside. It appears to be hand-pressed.
Value: $50 Starting Bid: $17

Collection of Three Historical Photos |
 | | Historical Photos |
| |
These photos are hand printed in sepia toned and double matted, from the Mark Reuben Gallery. Each of these images sell for $75 in the gallery. 1) Abraham Lincoln Portrait (sitting) 1862, 16 x 20 including matte, photo by Matthew Brady. Brady was a studio photographer noted mostly for his portraits, including those of Abe Lincoln made -- as many assume -- by securing the president's head to a metal rod so he could hold still for the long exposure. Imagine... "Excuse me, Mr. President while I strap your head in place..." 2) China Clipper: The China Clipper passes over the San Francisco waterfront. The aircraft completed the trip in six days, with a flying time of 59 hours, 48 minutes. Overnight stops included Honolulu, Midway, Wake Island, and Guam. 3) SB2C-4E Helldivers from Bombing Squadron 87 (VB-87) in formation over the Pacific. The squadron was assigned to USS Ticonderoga (CV-14) from May-September 1945.
