 Congratulations to the 20 Under Forty winners! The Williston Herald guided the effort to recognize some of the area's most talented individuals. They accepted nominations and assembled a selection committee to identify this year's class. The 20 winners will be honored at a banquet on Friday, March 2 at the Old Armory. We are proud to have worked with many of the honorees!

Williston, Watford City Job Fairs seek Employers
Job Service North Dakota advises employers to reserve space early for the Williston and Watford City job fairs as space is limited. Williston Economic Development 
Williston Economic Development - Williston is gearing up for a bigger and better job fair! The 2 Days, 2 Job Fairs event will be held in Williston April 25 and Watford City April 26. The job fair in Williston will be held at a new larger venue. "We are moving the job fair to the Raymond Family Community Center," said Cindy Sanford, Williston Customer Service Manager. 20 Under 40 Winners announced; Banquet March 2
Williston City Administrator David Tuan has been named to Williston's first 20 Under Forty group.
Williston Herald - The Williston Herald will honor 20 young professionals for their achievements and their community involvement with a special event and a commemorative section. Readers submitted dozens of nominations, which were narrowed down to 20 by Herald staff and community leaders, including Williston Economic Development Director Shawn Wenko and Terry Olin, co-principal of Stropiq.     About 650 people attended the Main Street Summit Feb. 12-13 in Bismarck. Williston Economic Development

Doug Burgum's Main Street Summit held last week in Bismarck. "Absolutely," she said.     Sidney Herald - The Sidney Elks Lodge celebrated its 150th anniversary recently. The group currently has 293 members, said Elks Exalted Ruler, Travis Cundiff. He added, "We will be initiating a few more people in at the end of the month as well."

    Comedian Jerry Carroll will be featured at the Ag Days Banquet March 1 at 6 p.m.
    Roundup - The Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce and the Richland County Extension Office are hosting MonDak Ag Days, and along with it, the Ag Days Banquet, on March 1 at 6 p.m., with a social beginning at 5 p.m. Extension Agent, Tim Fine, spoke to The Roundup and explained the purpose of Ag Days

    Home Sweet Home closes in Minot
    The 119 year old building will be relocated to make room for the future flood wall in Minot. Minot Daily News
    Minot Daily News -  There was something truly sweet about the house on Fourth Avenue, where gifts were sold and coffee and friendship were free. Thursday was the last day of retail business for Home Sweet Home, ending a more than 31-year run. Owners Linda Johnson and Allan Mueller expect to close on the sale of the house to the city on March 1, and the structure will be moved across the street. The relocation is necessary to make room for a future flood wall and to preserve the historic building, constructed in 1899.

    03/02 ------ 20 Under Forty Banquet
    The Williston Herald will present the 2018 Class of 20 Under Forty. The social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. at the Old Armory.

    03/07------1 Million Cups
    Two presentations will be held from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Williston State College. The meeting is open and free to the public.

    03/13 ------ Williston City Commission
    The commission meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 6 p.m. in the Commission Room at City Hall at 22 East Broadway.

    03/19 ------ Williston Planning and Zoning Commission
    The commission meets the third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Commission Room at City Hall at 22 East Broadway (February meeting date changed due to President's Day).
    07/10-12 ------ ND Water Resource Districts Association's Summer Meeting
    The 2018 North Dakota Water Resource Districts Association's annual summer meeting will be held at the Grand Williston Hotel and Conference Center.

    03/13 ------ Williston Basin Chapter API monthly meeting
    The meeting will be held  at the Grand Williston Hotel and Conference Center. The social will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The keynote speaker will be North Dakota Tax Commission Ryan Rauschenberger. 
    03/21 ------ NDPC Denver Social
    The meeting will be held at the Denver Petroleum Club in Denver, CO.

    05/22-24 ------ Williston Basin Petroleum Conference
    The 26th annual event will be held in Bismarck, ND. Early bird general attendee registration is open until April 12, 2018.
    05/22-23 ------ Energy Exposition
    The 2018 Energy Exposition will be celebrating 19 years as the Rocky Mountain's longest running energy trade exhibition. The event will take place at The Ranch Events Complex in Loveland, Colorado. Reserve booth space today.  Energy Exposition

    The Summer 2018 event will be held at the Rough Rider Center in Watford City.
