Wilmington, DE June 11, 2012 - The 2nd Annual Wilmo a Go-Go Car Show was held Sunday at 8th and Orange Streets in Downtown Wilmington. The Wilmo a Go-Go Car Show was hosted by Poppycock Tattoo, Downtown Visions and Brett Garwood Photography. The Wilmo a Go-Go Car Show was sponsored by Cruising Magazine, the Talleyville Frame Shoppe and the Nomad Bar.
Over the course of a beautiful Sunday afternoon, more than five hundred people came Downtown for classic cars and motorcycles, two live bands, great BBQ, a pin- up contest, awesome vendors and ELVIS!
Local bands Coffin Fly and the Rhythm Ropers rocked the crowd. The Chelsea Tavern, Deep Blue and Moro restaurants dished out delicious BBQ fare. The pin-up contest was a real crowd pleaser with nine contestants and resulted in a local beauty from Wilmington taking the top prize. There were vendors selling water ice, vintage clothes, art, tye-dye gear, and jewelry and car accessories. You could even adopt a dog through Response-a-Bull Rescue. And of course Elvis had everyone "all shook up" with his good looks, great voice and studded cape.
What more could you ask for on a sunny, Sunday. It was the perfect way to enjoy Downtown Wilmington with family and friends!
