The Isle of Palms Connector Race is one of the only not-for-profit races in the area and our goal is to raise money for local charities working for the prevention and healing of child abuse in Charleston. The IOP Connector Run is hosted annually by the Exchange Clubs of Mount Pleasant and the Isle of Palms. Proceeds benefit the boys of Windwood Farm and other local non-profits.

Pigskin Palooza- Saturday November 8th, 2014

Brought to you by the Metro Exchange Club, Pigskin Palooza is a family friendly all you can eat oyster and BBQ roast benefiting Windwood Family Services.

With live local music and college football streaming on 60" tv's there will plenty of entertainment for all ages. A kids zone featuring a petting zoo, face painter, and art lessons from Fear No Easel will certainly keep the kids engaged while you enjoy adult libations of beer & Firefly! 100% of proceeds from this event will go to the boys and families of Windwood Family Services, who provide Help, Hope & Healing to abused, neglected and traumatized children in South Carolina.

Last Month
Our boys gave back to their community by participating in the Adopt a Highway Campaign. We have been participating for nearly 15 years and sponsor the road leading to Bull's Bay. We love giving back to the community that gives so much to us.

Trident United Way Update

After several years of being a funded partner with The Trident United Way, on July 1, 2013 we made the decision to decline funding for the remainder of 2012-2015 allocation period and instead focus on enhancing our service array and program development within our own agency.

Windwood Family Services will always be a strong supporter and community partner with TUW and through our residential, out-patient, school-based, and community-based prevention programs we will work side by side with them in promoting bold community change.

Windwood Family Services is participating in a PACFAC Learning Collaborative

As an agency we are committed to ensuring that all abused and traumatized children and their families in the state of South Carolina receive effective, evidence-supported mental health services. The Palmetto Association for Children and Families Learning Collaborative is a collaborative learning project conducted through a joint effort by Project BEST, a partnership between the Dee Norton Lowcounty Children's Center and the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center at the Medical University of South Carolina. Project BEST is funded by a grant from The Duke Endowment.
