July 2014
Hello, Summer!
We Are Over Half-Way to Our BIG CHALLENGE Goal!
We are just over half-way to our BIG CHALLENGE fundraising goal of
$70,000. We received a generous gift of $20,000 that kick-started the campaign and now we need YOUR help! The money raised during THE BIG CHALLENGE will help us renovate our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility and allow us to provide Help, Hope and Healing to 7 more boys at a time. Through our renovations we will be able increase our capacity for abused and neglected boys by nearly 60%!

Help us get to our BIG CHALLENGE Goal by texting HEAL to 41444 or by donating online!

Thank You BB&T!
HUGE thanks goes out to BB&T and their myriad of volunteers for all the hard work and sweat equity they have provided the farm over the past two months. They came, they worked and they made a difference. We cannot thank you enough for your generous donations of paint for our entire Group Home and for the sand to replenish our playgrounds! Your commitment to our boys is unwavering and we are grateful for your support!

What are the Boys up to this Summer?
Much to our boys chagrin, Summer School has started! Monday - Thursday the boys attend a half day of Summer School, provided by Charleston County Schools. The rest of their afternoons are spent taking swim lessons at the Mt. Pleasant Recreation Department, learning kayaking with our Recreation Therapist Mrs. Arianne, participating in Horticulture Group or going on outings across the Charleston area!

They recently were invited by Y2O to explore Bulls Island! Y2O is an organization that provides positive youth development through opportunities in water sports, environmental education, and exploration of nature, especially for underserved and at-risk youth. NONE of our boys had ever been to Bulls Island even though we are located so close to Bulls Bay. It was a fun, educational and exciting experience that our kids have been raving about since!

We Wish You A Safe & Happy 4th of July!
