This beautiful and expressive wine is made from 100 and 35 year old Gamay vines from Beaujolais. It has bright red berry fruits that dance across your palate before a long finish of herbs and wild berries. Some extra age in bottle has given this wine even more complexity and concentration, meaning its drinking better than ever.

Greetings from Burlington Wine Shop,

Today's tasting Shows what the Natural Wine genre has to offer with four fantastic reds that are uniquely expressive wines with great purity of fruit. While the winemaker has many tools at her disposal, sometimes it is better to just let nature take its course. We look forward to seeing you this afternoon and to share these fantastic wines with you.

             Saturday, March  3rd  - 1:00 - 7:00pm
We'll begin today's tasting with Guy Breton Regnie ($29.99), a beautiful Gamay from Morgon with lively red berry flavors framed by firm acidity and a long finish, followed by Castello di Stefanago Rosso ($14.99), a unique blend of Uva Rara, Croatina and Barbera from northern Italy with generous fruit and great concentration, and we'll juxtapose that against an Italian inspired wine called Idlewild The Bird ($22.99), a blend of Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo from California with nuances of wild strawberry, dried herbs and olives, and we'll finish things off with Franck Balthazar Cotes du Rhone ($21.99), a fuller bodied, dark fruit focused wine with firm tannins and great intensity.
