A Delightful Evening in Support of KCDC 

Enjoy the festive splendor of our 13th Annual Wine in the Holidays fundraiser at Puritas Nursery, 19201 Puritas Avenue. See  the transformation of this historical retail garden center into a party place filled with sparkling lights and holiday decor. From 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, dress comfortably chic and connect with friends while sipping wine, tasting beer, and enjoying hearty hors d'oeuvres accompanied by music.

Pleasures of the palate bloom fully "under glass" at our only fundraiser of the year. Select among six wines and a choice of specialty beers. Our caterer AMP 150, the fine farm-to table restaurant inside the Marriott Hotel on on West 150th Street, will be serving a variety of pleasing delights, both savory and sweet. While a DJ sets the mood with holiday music, let the child in you explore the action of twelve train sets traveling on three layouts through the live greenery at this adult-only evening.

Bring your friends and make new ones while supporting your neighborhood. Reservations for this KCDC fundraiser are $55 per person. They must be purchased in advance, and the first 100 paid guests will receive a free commemorative West Park t-shirt at the door.

Free parking is available at Clara Westropp Elementary School, MacArthur Elementary School, and along Valleyside Road, West 192nd Street, West 191st Street, and in the Puritas Nursery lot.

On Saturday, November 26, celebrate Small Business Saturday with us! It's a special holiday created so communities can show love for small businesses like the ones here in Kamm's Corners and West Park. It wouldn't be a celebration without residents like you!

So mark your calendar for November 26, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and get ready to Shop Small with us. Stop by the many destination retail businesses here, and enjoy store-wide sales, specials, and great deals especially for Small Business Saturday!

20th Annual Winter Wonderland Features Frozen Fairy Tales, Santa, Refreshments, & More

 
The fun begins under the clock at 6 p.m.
For the 20th consecutive year, families will be welcomed to Kamms Plaza to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus at one of their first stops on their busiest month. Join the fun on Friday, December 2, under the clock at 6 p.m. as families gather for a mini-concert and sing along under the stars at the corner of Rocky River Drive and Lorain Avenue. The Academy Chorale of St. Joseph Academy performs a capella and invites all to join in the crowd favorites.

Sip hot chocolate provided free of charge by the Kiwanis Club of West Park, and enjoy the ceremonial turning on of the lights. Then Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive by horse-drawn sleigh to lead everyone to the the indoor Winter Wonderland -- a free event sponsored by Kamms Plaza management.

The Fairy Tale themed evening runs until 8:30 p.m. Sleigh rides are set for that night and continue free of charge on Friday, December 9 and 16. Click here for all the details. 
 
Holiday Showcase Combines Kamm's Corners Indoor Farmers Market with an Arts & Crafts Fair

 
What happens when you mash up local artisans and makers with farmers market vendors, Weber's Ice Cream, and Hatfield's Goode Grub food truck?

In December, join us for 5,000 square feet of holiday gifts and cheer with nearly 50 vendors participating!  Kamm's Corners Farmers Market will be combined with an arts and crafts fair at a new location: the KCDC building across Lorain Avenue from Kamms Plaza. The address is 17401 Lorain Avenue, between Citizens Bank and Steak N Shake.

Shop Saturday and Sunday, December 10 and 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Each day offers something a little different, with Santa visiting all day on Sunday! Click here for a flyer with parking details and more about the many offerings at this Kamm's Corners Holiday Showcase!

Help to Make a West Park Family Happier on Thanksgiving Day

Volunteers are needed this Saturday, November 19, at the St. Pat's Hunger Center, to pack and deliver groceries for more than 300 needy families in time for Thanksgiving. To join the effort, meet at 9 a.m. inside Thorpe Hall, 4427 Rocky River Drive. Monetary donations are also welcome. For more information, call the rectory at 216-251-1200.

P.J. McIntyre's Irish Pub, 17119 Lorain Avenue, is hosting a "Turkey Bash" fundraiser on Wednesday, November 23, from 6 to 9 p.m. to benefit Fight Like a Girl Foundation, which supports individuals with a life threatening illness. Holiday model trains return to Puritas Nursery, 19201 Puritas Avenue and run daily from November 25 through December 31. While there, you may purchase fresh wreaths, swags, roping, boughs, poinsettias, or a tree with the stay-straight system. Santa visits from 1 to 3 p.m. twice during the season: Saturday, December 3 and 10. Bring your camera!

Cleveland Rovers Rugby Football Club is throwing its annual fundraiser on November 26 at P.J. McIntyre's Irish Pub, 17119 Lorain Avenue. It's a pig roast from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in conjunction with watching the OSU vs. Michigan game. Purchase $35 tickets and learn more, here.

The Holy Name Society of St. Patrick Catholic Church presents a Beatles tribute band, The Liverpool Lads, on Saturday, November 26, in the gym at 4427 Rocky River Drive.
