Speakeasy new password is "Noble Experiment"
Last password was Blind Pig. During Prohibition era there were two types of illegal drinking establishments. OK, there were all kinds of illegal drinking going on every where. BUT the two best known were Speakeasy's and Blind Pigs . Blind Pig was where the working class hung out. The name comes from as you might expect police officer's that turned a blind eye to enforcing the law. BTW when coming to the speakeasy go to the door that has "Mr. Speaks Office" on it and knock.
This Weekend is Last Chance For a Good Scare? Visit the Jail of Terror Downtown Newark!
If you are looking for vintner Jim or Mr. Speaks you most likely will find him among the zombies at the Jail of Terror, located at the historic jail across from the speakeasy. For $17 you can have the scare of your life and for another $5 tour the living quarters of the historic jail. This only happens during the month of October on the weekends so don't miss your chance. Please bring your own Depends they are not supplied. If you need some liquid courage before entering the Jail of Terror the speakeasy will be open to provide the necessary medicine.
