Dear ,

Thanksgiving has come and gone. I hope it was a great day for you and your family. Next, on to the Christmas season!

Have a great weekend!

Ag Water Quality Certification

The Agricultural Water Quality Certification advisory committee reviewed final recommendations Nov. 13-14, and will be forwarding them to the Department of Agriculture commissioner.

Following their meeting in Willmar Oct. 29, members of the Agricultural Water Quality Certification advisory committee toured the water quality research project at the Gorans Brothers farm south of Willmar. Now in its fifth year, the special project of the Discovery Farms program compares urban and farm field runoff for nitrogen, phosphorus, pathogens, and sediment.

2013 Egg Trends

New information on expected trends in eggs for 2013 is out courtesy of the American Egg Board. The information points to the Quick Service Restaurants being important, especially the breakfast menus. Check it out below

The REAL Story

Before Thanksgiving last week our friends over at MN Soybean wrote a wonderful blog post about what they are thankful for - specifically turkeys! Check out the REAL Story blog here.

MN Soybean is also making a donation to Second Harvest Heartland this holiday season. In addition to an initial $2,500 donation they will be giving another $5 for every "like" they receive on Facebook between now and the end of the year. You can get more details here or check out the MN Soybean Facebook page.
