A lot of excitement has been generated for TACA Agencies with the selections of Adrienne McGarity as Executive Director of Delta Human Resource Agency and Jill Ortago as Executive Director of Highland Rim Economic Authority!

Adrienne holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business Administration from Dyersburg State Community College and Bachelor of Science Degree in Organization Management from Bethel University. She has spent 17 years involved in various aspects of the banking industry including Head Teller, Branch Manager/Officer, Operations Coordinator, Assistant Vice President and Bank Secrecy Act Analyst.
Adrienne says, "I look forward to working with the staff to enhance the agency's current programs.  My goal is to explore opportunities to secure additional programs."

Jill has a 14-year career with Head Start.  She has served in the capacity of Operations Manager at Highland Rim Head Start since 2000.  Over 30 years ago, Jill was a Head Start parent, and she has always had a passion for the program and helping people.  She now brings that passion to the entire agency and is excited to see what the future holds for Community Action and Highland Rim.  Jill, a Michigan native who moved to Tennessee in 1992, enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

TACA welcomes the commitment, vision and energy Adrienne and Jill bring to the network.

Austin Dixon signed up for the Talent Search program in the fall semester of his Freshman year at Bell County High School. Even as a Freshman, Austin was eager to do anything possible that would help himself succeed beyond high school. Austin attended every college visit and summer program the DCEA Talent Search program offered throughout his four years of high school and checked in with his Talent Search Adviser every week. Although Austin is very motivated and self-driven, his success hasn't come without obstacles. Like most Talent Search participants, Austin qualified for the Talent Search program as both low-income and potential first-generation college.

GETTING RESULTS!

The performance management system used by the CSBG Network to document accomplishments (ROMA) includes:  high-quality, comprehensive needs assessments; plans that target services to the highest priority needs; challenging outcome goals; and documentation and analysis of progress and results according to a consistent set of measures.  TACA Agencies use CSBG dollars to leverage others funds to achieve family, individual and community change.  In FY2014, for every $1.00 of CSBG, TACA Agencies leveraged $23.19.  During that same year, TACA Agencies reported 808,390 outcomes for participants!
