January 24 - 25, 2015 Starved Rock Eagle Watch Weekend 9am - 5pm Enjoy this outdoor awareness weekend hosted by the Illinois Audubon Society. There will be lots of activities on both sides of the Illinois River at Starved Rock Lodge, Starved Rock Visitor Center, and at the Illinois Waterway Visitors Center (lock and dam site). There are children's activities and educational exhibits and programs throughout the weekend in all locations. Ottawa area.
February 7, 2015 The Nature Conservancy's Emiquon Preserve 9am - 3pm In addition to activities at nearby Dickson Mounds Museum, TNC Emiquon Preserve will have spotting scopes for eagle and bird viewing; bonfire and warming station with hot cocoa; bird ID materials and TNC exhibits. Visitor use observatories will be open for winter hiking, snow shoeing and cross-country skiing. Lewistown area.

Beginning with a pancake breakfast, a morning of eagle activities will include use of spotting scopes at Waterworks Park; Bald Eagle and Wildlife Photo Exhibit and face painting for the kids. Wildlife Prairie Park's live presentation of "Birds of Prey" will be held at 11:15.
