2016 is full of promise for RISE for Autism and all the families and individuals we are lucky enough to support! We have increased workshops and conferences as a demonstration of our commitment to promoting understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders for families, educators, and related service providers. We will also be increasing our sensory-friendly events and outings to families - these were such a hit last year and we are looking forward to creating additional opportunities for families in 2016.
We are thrilled with the gains we made in improving safety for individuals on the Autism Spectrum through our Safety Project and partnership with the Anne Arundel County Police Department. We are looking forward to our Second Annual Safety Fair and offering BE SAFE: The Movie to interested groups.
RISE for Autism began offering school consultation and training services in both Howard and Anne Arundel County School Systems in 2015 and look forward to continuing this work in 2016.
We will continue to fund raise throughout the year to realize each of these initiatives. RISE has grown more in the past few years than we could have imagined and it is largely in part to the generosity of our community sponsors. We make it a point not to solicit funds from families impacted by Autism for these events, but just hope you will spread the word. Event fundraising helps support workshops and conferences, family events, and awareness initiatives.
Looking forward to connecting with all of you in 2016!
