Julie's Winter Wonderland Workout

It may be "the most wonderful time of the year," but for many of us, it's also a period where finding the opportunity to squeeze in a workout becomes a real challenge, due to a busier-than-usual social schedule. This year, rather than waiting for holiday stress and calorie overload to pile up and take their toll, make an effort to get into the swing of a fat burning home fitness routine in as little as 20 minutes, no matter where you are!

Winter Wonderland Workout

 

PART 1

10 Jolly Jacks

(jack in the middle, jack to the left = 1 rep, jack in the middle, jack to the right = 1 rep, repeat)


10 Pointsetta Pushups (to the right) 

Circle your pushup down & around to the right, knee tuck, floor jack = 1 rep


4 Elf Shuffles (to the right) 

Fast feet for a 3 count/tuck jump = 1 rep (rotate around until back to center)


10 Pointsetta Pushups (to the left)

Circle your pushup down & around to the left knee tuck, floor jack = 1 rep  

  

4 Elf Shuffles (to the left) fast feet/knee tuck

Fast feet for a 3 count/tuck jump = 1 rep (rotate around until back to center)  

  

20 Snowflake Scissor Kicks
Lay on back with legs up in the air, hands behind head, crunch up and stay up ... drop left leg down and bring up = 1 rep, drop right leg down and bring up = 1 rep, keep repeating


10 Reindeer Jumps 

Reverse lunge on the right, reverse lunge on the left, narrow squat jump = 1 rep

 

REPEAT 2-3 times

PART 2

10 Jolly Jacks

10 Shaken Snow Globes (to the right) lateral lunge/high knees

Lateral lunge to the right, 10 high knees = 1 rep 

 

10 Eggnog Extensions

Back extensions

 

10 Shaken Snow Globes (to the left)

Lateral lunge to the left, 10 high knees = 1 rep

 

10 Candy Cane Crawls (5 on the left, 5 on the right)

Plank position on forearms - military crawl, straight leg toe touch = 1 rep

 

10 Blitzer Burpees 

Burpee with legs shooting out to the side = 1 rep

 

REPEAT 2-3 times
