Holiday 2017
A.S. Government
Greetings, Spartans! Happy Holidays!

November included travel for some of our Associated Students Board of Directors. In the first week of November, Ariadna Manzo, A.S. President, and Andrew Lingao, A.S. Director of Co-Curricular Affairs, along with professional staff, traveled to Honolulu, Hawai’i for the 2017 NASPA Western Regional Conference. The students were selected to be part of the NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP) and sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs to attend the conference. Our student leaders had the opportunity to meet representatives from other institutions and to learn about Student Affairs through professional development workshops and seminars.

Additionally, I attended the 2017 National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) West Regional Conference in Reno, Nevada, with Parin Patel, A.S. Director of Programming Affairs. We watched several showcases tailored for on-campus performances ranging from hypnotists, singers, magicians, and more, all great ideas to make events more fun, engaging and successful! We also attended educational workshops and networked with student leaders from campuses all around the West Coast.
