Wisconsin Budget Ends Fiscal Year with Additional $135 Million
MADISON - The co-chairs of the budget-writing Joint Committee on Finance, State Senator Alberta Darling (R-River Hills) and State Representative John Nygren (R-Marinette) issued the following statement regarding the Wisconsin's improving financial picture:

"Careful budgeting and tax cuts are creating an environment where revenues are growing better than predicted.  Thanks to those reforms, Wisconsin will end this fiscal year with an additional $135.6 million.

On Thursday, The Department of Administration released its annual report of the state's general fund.  The report shows tax revenues increased 4.3 percent.

Wisconsin continues to be better off than it was five years ago.  Republicans will continue to protect taxpayers and boost our vastly improved business climate."
