For many of us this week often means lots of cooking-- and eating, travel, family and friends, football and visiting museums. This week is also another opportunity to give thanks for what we have and what reflect on what is important to us in the upcoming year.
The DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative is so grateful to each of you-- our members, partners, teachers, volunteers and supporters, for the time that you devote to providing amazing arts and humanities learning experiences for our DC students. Their first concert, their first museum visit, their first play-- their love of the arts and humanities. We know students are better strategic thinkers, active community citizens and more empathetic as a result of these experiences.
Thank you for the tens of thousands of smiles that result from their experiences!
Our work is not always easy, but we gain strength and inspiration from each of you in our arts and humanities education community of practice. That brings a very big collective smile to our staff and board.
Wishing a wonderful Thanksgiving to you and your family!
With gratitude and appreciation,
