Wolf Paws Newsletter - July 2018
Hello everyone, my name is Kiska and I am a wolfdog from Texas. I have been put in charge of writing a brief newsletter to let y’all know what is going on here at Rocky Mountain Wildlife Foundation, (RMWF). First I would like to apologize as some of y’all did not receive the last newsletter. Dad, (Mark), doesn’t do well with computers and we had a bit of a glitch in our spreadsheet and about half of you got left out. Thanks to Katie it is now fixed.

Just a reminder that for the rest of June the Phantom Canyon Brewing Company at 2 East Pikes Peak Avenue in Colorado Springs, is doing a fundraising event for us. With the purchase of the appetizer of the month and also the Electronic Castaway Wheat Ale we will receive a dollar from the sale of each one. So go on in and have a great meal with a brew and help support RMWF. We are very grateful for their support.

Great news, we are almost a third of the way to our goal of $100K by Labor Day. For those of you who don’t know about this, we have an opportunity to purchase 187+ acres for a permanent location for the RMWF sanctuary. At the new property we will be able to do so much more than we can do at our current location.

We are asking that y’all that can, please send us a tax deductible donation of 5, 10, 20 or more dollars to help us purchase this property. You can even go to our website, www.rmwf.org/donate.html and donate there if you like. The more y’all can participate the faster we can build it and together with help of y’all we can positively change the image of the wolf. This is Kiska signing off. Y’all have a great summer.

P.S. Dad said “y’all” isn’t a word. Well in Texas it is a word, and I’m from Texas!

188 acres of land pictured here will be in the same area as we are now and would be directly owned by the organization for its lifetime.

We are sad to announce that our dearest Abbey has crossed the rainbow bridge. She was the sister to Baby and daughter to Momma Bear. While she had a rough start in life, she was loved and cared for deeply while in our care. Many people over the years met Abbey and loved her tons. She will be missed greatly.

Remember, you have never been kissed until you have been kissed by a wolf.
