Madison Kramp was nominated for a spotlight because of her unique approach to service and for "thinking outside the box." She is a great service resource, so ask her for ideas ranging from horse care, to life guarding, and to overnight camps! We especially want to recognize her regular and long-term service commitment at
L'Arche in Seattle helping people with disabilities. She works in the activity center and has built some incredible relationships and learned a lot about herself. Regarding working with people with disabilities Madison says, "you're most likely going to get more out of it than you put in." Thank you for your commitment to service, Madison!
If you would like to nominate someone for a service spotlight, please submit to PTSA Community Service Chair, Julie Olson

EHS Community News
Hidden in Plain Sight
Looks can be very deceiving - especially if you don't know what to look for.
The "Hidden In PlainSight" initiative helps parents spot signs of at-risk behaviors, using an interactive display of a teenager's bedroom. After walking through the display, participants will learn more about adolescent development and common signs of substance use provided by professionals in treatment, law enforcement, substance abuse prevention and other parents.
This exhibit educates and empower parents to communicate with their children about at-risk behavior that could lead to substance use disorders. A strong parent-teen relationship is the most effective tool to prevent youth substance use.
