New Spectrometers for Astronomy Class
Mr. Retzlaff's UW Astronomy class recently purchased new spectrometers through a grant from the Eastlake PTSA.
Pictured are UW Astronomy students using the new spectrometers to collect reflectance spectra for different material types.  They use those spectra to estimate the composition of surface on planets from the spectra collected by spacecraft.  Mr. Retzlaff says, "Thanks so much to the PTSA!"
