Happy 1st Day of School from Saint Brigid of Kildare!

In August of 1996, the doors of Saint Brigid of Kildare School opened to the strains of bagpipe music as the children entered their new school for the first time. 18 years later, the tradition continues. This morning, students were again greeted upon arrival by a bagpiper to welcome them on their first day and wish them luck for the new school year!

Recess Volunteers Needed

Would you like an enjoyable way to stay connected with your children, their classmates and teachers while helping to give a teacher a break from recess duty?  If yes, then volunteer for Recess!  Having consistent parent volunteers will allow teachers to rotate off recess duty one day per week to spend more time on classroom prep and student academics.

Volunteers are needed daily from 10:10 AM to 12:20 PM.

Primary responsibilities are to supervise children while they are playing and help put away equipment.  If interested, click here: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0b49a8aa2ea57-recess.  You can also find this link on the school website under http://www.stbrigidofkildare.com/get-involved/parent-programs/home-and-school-association .  For questions on volunteering, please contact debfoley@columbus.rr.com.
