Prospective Families Open House - Sun, Jan 25 

Help us "Share The Good News" about Catholic education by inviting friends and neighbors to join the St. Brigid school community. We'll be holding our annual Open House on Sunday, January 25 from 12 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Visitors can take a parent and student guided tour to see first hand what makes St. Brigid so special.


 

Special Information Sessions will include preschool at 12:30 p.m.and kindergarten at 1:15 p.m.

Student-Led Conference Sign Ups
Winter Student-Led conferences are 20 minutes each and will take place: 

Grades K-2 and 7-8:
Wednesday, January 21, 2015, 5:00 - 8:00 PM

 

Grades 3-4 and 5-6:
Thursday, January 22, 2015, 5:00 - 8:00 PM

Please find your child's homeroom teacher and click that link to sign up for their conference.

Pizza Bingo
Pizza Bingo is coming up on February 6. 

We're looking for any NEW unopened toys/crafts/electronic games -- we need it all! Please drop off donations in the Pizza Bingo Box located in the school office. Business donations will be recognized.

Diocesan Tuition Assistance

Diocese of Columbus Tuition Assistance for the 2015-2016 school year:


 
All applications must be submitted and verified online by March 16, 2015. (www.factstuitionaid.com)

 

FILE 2014 TAXES EARLY!

To be considered for the Diocese of Columbus Tuition Assistance Program:

 

1. You must be registered in one of the Diocesan schools by March 16, 2015.

2. The Diocese will only accept ONLINE APPLICATIONS (www.factstuitionaid.com),

the application must be submitted and verified by March 16, 2015 and supporting

documentation must be postmarked by March 16, 2015.

(Please file early in case additional documentation is requested by FACTS.)

3. Payment of the $30.00 application fee must accompany the application.

4. Only one application per family is required.

Calling Those Who Want to be an Altar Server

Come to Church for the training on February 8th from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. We will be happy to have you!

 

Becoming an Altar Server:

Those in 6th grade and above who wish to be Altar Servers, please attend the training on February 8th from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in Church.  Before attending contact Vicky Humphrey for a registration sheet or pick one up from the kitchenette in Church.  Her email address is [email protected] .  Please return registration to Mr. Matt Vulanich at [email protected]  or to Sister Joan.

 

What Does It Take to be an Altar Server?

It takes a person who wishes to learn how to serve at the altar.

It takes someone who is willing to study the materials with a parent or older sibling.

It takes a responsible person who likes to learn new things.

Finally, it takes someone like you who is willing to do mentoring.

Family First - Morning Discussion Group

The Spring session of our Morning Discussion Group will be starting January 27th.  All sessions are Tuesdays from 9:30-11 a.m. in Monsignor Hendricks Hall, and facilitated by Youth Minister Pam Heil.  Childcare is provided.

 
We will meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month to discuss Mark Gregston's book/DVD study Tough Guys and Drama Queens: How Not to Get Blindsided by Your Child's Teen Years.
 
We will meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month to discuss Mary Reed Newland's We and Our Children: How to Make a Catholic Home.

Spring Sports Registration Continues

SBAA spring sports registration continue now through Sunday, February 15, for track & field, boys baseball, and girls softball.


To register, just go to www.gowolfhounds.org to learn more about each sport, or directly to the registration site https://sbaa.sportssignup.com/site to register now.
 
We need volunteers for all sports and all grades. You can register to be a volunteer on the same link you register your children for sports (just choose Apply to Coach/Volunteer). 
 
All coaches and volunteers must comply to Diocesan Safe Environment requirements which include attending Protecting God's Children (PGC) training completing a fingerprinting background check, volunteer application and signed Code of Conduct. Full details about all Safe Environment requirements can be found on the parish website here. All Coaches must also complete concussion training and head coaches need to attend Play Like a Champion (PLC) training. Please ask sports commissioner for more details and availability. Please submit all certificates of training to Stacey Nerone, Safe Environment Coordinator, at:
[email protected] or drop off copies to the parish office.
