St. Brigid Alum and OSU Football Player Craig Fada Visits Students

Recently our entire school enjoyed an afternoon assembly from a Saint Brigid of Kildare School alumnus. The students sang along with "O-H-I-Os" as "Hang On Sloopy" played throughout the gym when OSU National Championship football player and Saint Brigid of Kildare 2008 graduate Craig Fada entered the gym. Craig was joined by his OSU teammate and friend Joshua Perry. Craig and Joshua talked with the students about their experience playing for a National Championship football team, and for Craig -- playing on the St. Brigid of Kildare Middle School and Bishop Watterson High School football teams.

Craig and Joshua's talks both centered around the power of faith in God getting them through any challenges or difficult times. Craig discussed his gratefulness for being raised in a warm Catholic environment and being able to talk openly about his faith at Saint Brigid of Kildare School. Students enjoyed asking them questions about football, faith and their friends.

Craig is finishing up his undergraduate work at OSU and working towards entering medical school. His grateful and faith-filled personality really spoke to the students -- and can be summed up by his Twitter profile description: "Faith.Family.Football. Linebacker #38 for THE Ohio State Buckeyes. Can do all things through Christ. LIVE IT!"
