Congratulations to the cast, crew and artists of Peter Pan! They put on three highly-talented performances last week that were enjoyed by students, parents, relatives, friends of the school and our parish 55+ Club.
A special thank you to the creative team of Crystal Bensonhaver, Mar Frommeyer, Ken Heigel, Shelly Reardon, Stacie Williams, Larrie Habel, Carolyn Kramer and Bernadette Dinehart for their endless hours in directing and producing this theatrical event. Thank you also to the many teacher and parent volunteers who helped with the production including Chris Mazon, Jill Cecutti, Jeremy Johnson, Erin Mazon, Bridget DeSocio, Amy Yaich, Rich Habel, Greg Svatora, Alison Grogan, Bill Bennison, Erin Samenuk, Mike Agan, Becky O'Connor, Barb Worly, Angela Jones, Christine Drab, and Jim and Linda McCaffrey.
Additionally, a big thank you to the many parent volunteers who assisted the creative team with countless hours of work to create costumes and play sets to help our students have fun, work hard, and experience new learning opportunities while learning an appreciation for musical theater. One of the most important aspects of this experience is that in the spirit of ministry our creative team guides the cast, crew and artists to be thankful for their God-given talents and for the talents of each other. Our students truly had the opportunity to learn the lessons of our performing arts mission statement: To inspire young people to discover and utilize their God-given talents and to bring evidence of Christ's love in the joy they bring to the audience.
It was a truly amazing performance that couldn't have been put on without all of their help! I would also like to thank the audience for the generous free-will donations of $1,770.31 to support the arts at St. Brigid.
Please note that the Easter Basket collection for Holy Family Soup Kitchen is

An Evening with Officer Bruce McKenna
Saint Brigid School is offering an informal presentation to highlight some of the ways our school has prepared to keep our students and staff safe. Please join us for a short presentation on
Monday, March 26th from 7:00 - 8:00 pm
followed by a Q & A session from
8:00 - 8:30 pm.
The presentation will take place in Enke Hall in the school. Dublin Police Officer Bruce McKenna will review the principles that have been taught in our school and also to local businesses. These principles can be utilized in any setting. While it is unlikely that you will ever need to use these techniques, we realize the more prepared you are the better. It is also important for you to understand the techniques your children are being taught.

March 22: Catholic Social Teaching
We have come to the last of our Lenten Series. This week Msgr. Joseph Hendricks will bring everything together and share with us the Church's understanding, challenge and responsibility of Catholic Social Teaching. Catholic social teaching is a central and essential element of our faith. Its roots are in the Hebrew prophets who announced God's special love for the poor and called God's people to a covenant of love and justice. It is a teaching founded on the life and words of Jesus Christ, who came "to bring glad tidings to the poor . . . liberty to captives . . . recovery of sight to the blind"(Lk 4:18-19), and who identified himself with "the least of these," the hungry and the stranger (cf. Mt 25:45). Catholic social teaching is built on a commitment to the poor.
Even if you could not attend any of the series, we would encourage you to come to this one.
