As Lent comes to an end and we celebrate Holy Week , please consider joining us for Stations of the Cross today at 2:00 pm.  Below is the schedule for the parish Triduum services, which is another special way to prepare for the celebration of Easter.

MASS OF THE LORD'S SUPPER Thursday, March 29, 7:30 pm Adoration in the Church following Mass concluding with Night Prayer at 9:30 pm
CELEBRATION OF THE LORD'S PASSION Friday, March 30, 3:00 pm, in the Church
STATIONS OF THE CROSS Friday, March 30, 7:30 pm, in the Church
BLESSING OF EASTER FOOD Saturday, March 31, 2:00 pm, in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel
EASTER EGG HUNT Saturday, March 31, 2:30 pm Brigid's Green
EASTER VIGIL MASS Saturday, March 31, 7:30 pm in the Church  

Operation  Rice Bowls may be turned in the week of April 9th  to the school office.

I hope this Easter break time provides an opportunity for your family to spend time praying together and playing together creating family traditions and memories.  For those of you traveling, may your travel be safe.

Congrats Regional Spelling Bee Participant Evan Matuska

Evan Matuska, 8th grade, attended the Scripps Regional Spelling Bee at Ohio University this past Saturday, March 24. He was one of a total of 55 local students who advanced to the regional competition after having earned a high score on an online assessment.

STEM  Take   Apart  Event for 5th and 6th Graders!

When:  Sunday April 15th
Time: 3:00-5:00pm
Where: St. Brigid STREAM Lab
Cost: FREE!
Description: Students will be using tools to  take  apart old technology and explore how things work! Members of the St.Charles Robotics Team will be there to share their tech knowledge!

**We are accepting old tech donations from the school community for this event...
 old lap tops, stereos, etc. are all welcome!

The next episode of  ABP Critics, made by 8th grade students Aiden Steinbauer, Patrick Lynch, and Brian Zezter is available. Their video reviews popular movies. This video covers their reviews of  Star Wars Empire Strikes Back, Transformers the Last Knight, Shorts, Farris Bueller's Day Off, The Social Network, and Aliens vs. Predators.

Make It a Date! Spring Edition

6:15 to 7:15 p.m. 
St. Brigid of Kildare Parish Center
 
Join other married and engaged couples at St. Brigid's 16th Make It a Date! event. Your evening begins with light appetizers and a chance to socialize with other St. Brigid couples. Then join Erin and Tom Heise for a reflection on marriage. Erin and Tom have have six children ranging from 6th grader to a toddler. At the conclusion of the event, spouses leave on their own date at a venue of their choice to talk about the evening and how it relates to their own relationship.

8th G raders: Sign Up for Summer Youth Ministry

Wow...the school year is almost over and summer is coming up quickly! Have you thought about how you will continue your participation in our parish throughout this summer!? If you are currently in 8th grade, you are invited to join high school youth ministry for summer ministry!

High school youth ministry's summer ministry is open to incoming 9th graders through outgoing high school seniors. Summer ministry includes a variety of social, faith formation, and service oriented opportunities for high school youth. Please see the summer calendar for dates & events. Stay tuned for more information! Be sure to register for 2018-19 high school youth ministry before coming to your first high school youth ministry gathering.

The 2018 summer ministry kick off will be on Sunday, June 10 from 6-8 PM at Sports Ohio.
Additional registration is required for Sports Ohio. *Please contact Laura Ginikos if cost is a concern.
