Dear Parents,

The Diocesan Service Learning Network is working to coordinate OCTOBER 1st as a Day of remembrance for victims, survivors and caregivers of breast cancer and other forms of cancer. This is the first ever attempt of the Network at organizing across the Diocese for such a devastating cause through our common and most powerful expression of faith and hope. The Service Learning Network needs your support in this effort:

  1. We are inviting interested students to make rainbow loom pink bracelets (see photo to the right).  Interested students may make one or a few.  Please bring them to school in a zip lock bag and place them in the box in the office.  The bracelets will be donated to the Service Learning Network to be distributed on October 1st at the Diocesan Pink Mass. Due date:  September 24th.
  2. Plan to attend, if your schedule will allow, one of the scheduled opportunities for remembrance and prayer at Mass:
    1. St. Brigid of Kildare will move our weekly all school liturgy to Wednesday, October 1st at 9:00 AM in order to take part in this effort. (The regularly scheduled Thursday school Mass will be cancelled).
    2. The Diocese will be supporting a Diocesan-wide Mass at St. Andrew parish at 6:30 PM on October 1st.

Thank you for your support of the Service Learning Network and the Pink Mass.

P.S.  There is still time to sign up for the Student-Led Conferences.  Please use this link: http://stbrigidofkildare.com/get-involved/parent-programs/student-led-conference-scheduling

September Photo Newsletters: 2nd, 3rd, 4th Grades

This year we will be replacing our teachers' written monthly newsletters with photo newsletters. Instead of a multi-page document, we'll have online photo albums to show the students' activities, along with captions to describe what they're learning. To see and read about what each of our classes have been up to, we'll send you the link to the photo newsletters that have been updated each week in the Wolfhound Wednesday.

To view, click a photo then scroll down to read the caption describing the activity and content the students are learning. You can then hit the arrow icon to the right or left of the photo to scroll through to the next photo.

This week, we have photo newsletters from 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades (click the image below to view). Next week look for updates from 5th and 6th grades.

You can also find the link to these newsletters by clicking "Calendar and News" on our website, then clicking "Photo Newsletters" on the left.
