Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

Give Thanks Through Christmas Cash Fund
Dear Prince Friends,

"Give thanks, with a grateful heart!"

During this special season of reflection, as we contemplate the blessings God has brought into our lives, we pray you recognize the tremendous impact our Prince Avenue Christian School teachers and staff make in the lives of our children.  Like you, we are thankful for each of them and how they pour the love and grace of God into their students' lives on a daily basis.

As your PTF officers, we are excited about demonstrating our commitment and thankfulness for our teachers and staff by contributing to the Christmas Cash Fund, which provides a bonus for all the faculty and staff of Prince Avenue.  Since the fund opened in early November, we have received a great response from many of our families who have contributed generously to this special initiative.  We appreciate these gifts of love, and we look forward to seeing the fund continue to grow over the next few weeks before it closes on December 2.

Thank you for considering a gift to the Christmas Cash Fund.  Your participation in this gift will be included in a special card that will be presented to our faculty in December.    You can contribute to the Christmas Cash Fund by clicking on the link below.

We consider it a privilege to serve our families through the PACS Parent-Teacher Fellowship.  We hope you will have a restful, enjoyable Thanksgiving this year.

Thankful for our Prince Families,

Emily Hicks                  Meg Titshaw

Chaplain's Corner

PACS Parents,

In Chapel this week, we continued our conversation about grace. The main point of our time was the principle: what God uses to save me, He also uses to sustain me…and we most often see God’s “sustaining grace" in our weaknesses.

The following are some questions that might be good to generate conversation within your family about grace…not only it’s meaning, but also its application.

Read II Corinthians 12:9-10 and Lamentations 3:22-23

  • Grace is the undeserved favor of God.
  • As we look to identify our weaknesses, reflect on the following statements:
  • “If I could change one thing about my life, it would be _______________.”
  • “I feel that I could really be useful to God if He would just change this one thing in my life _______________”
  • As a parent, share how you would answer those questions for yourself.
  • “What would you fill in those blanks with?”
  • “How do those weaknesses in your life help remind you of your need for God?”
  • “What does it mean when God says, ‘My grace is sufficient for you…’?”
  • “What does it change about how you view your day knowing that God gives us the exact amount of grace that we need for each day?”
  • “What are some ways that God can use your weaknesses to draw other people to Him?”
  • [PRAY TOGETHER] “God take my weaknesses from me…but if You choose not to, use my weaknesses for Your glory.”
  • How can I pray for you?

As always, thank you so much for allowing us to play a role in the life of your family!
