Nancy Glowacki, Army Veteran,  Women Veteran Program Manager for the Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training Service

Kiyo Sato, 94 years old, Air Force Nurse Corps, Veteran, During WWII Kiyo and her family were forced into Japanese internment camps. After returning home she joined the Air Force, completing her college education in nursing and achieving the rank of captain.

Ruthie BoltonArmy Veteran, 2-time Olympic Gold Medalist, a USA Basketball Female of the Year, Sports Illustrated Best Woman Athlete by home state, and one of only 4 players to be named to the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2011,and Author.

 Closing Session Speaker
Col. Patsy Thompson and her wife, Barbara Brass, share their 31-year story of sacrifice and commitment - to each other and to their country. They candidly share how they wrestled with heart-wrenching choices in public and private, hiding their relationship in their own home, speaking in code on the phone during appointments to the Pentagon and abroad, struggling to protect their love while preserving Col. Thompson's career.

WVA ha s a program to mentor young women that want to join the military. At our Unconference last year Suzi Vinci, Navy Veteran  not only paid for a young woman to attend but became her men tor. This young woman was active in h er high school's JR ROTC program and participated in the Color Guard at the Unconference. Angelina recently graduated from Marine Corps Boot Camp. #ImpactingYoungWomen
