Human Relations Committee Resolution
In light of the many issues facing our country today, I joined several Aldermen in a resolution condemning "racism, xenophobia, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, and all other forms of hate." Among other items, we also pledged to recommit ourselves to stand up for the rights of all individuals to live without fear of discrimination and "call on all Chicago residents to stand united in defense of our common values and each other's civil and human rights."
Our ward strongly stands for the values of free speech and the resolution which passed unanimously in the Human Relations Committee, and will likely pass in City Council this Wednesday. For a full copy of the resolution, click
