Consider making regular donations to the library via Electronic Funds Transfer

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) is a reliable, confidential, and convenient alternative to donating to Wood Library with a paper check. Most financial institutions now offer this service free of charge to their customers.

When you use EFT, you authorize your financial institution to make regular automatic payments from your account to the library's account. You set the amount and get a record of your contributions for tax reporting purposes on your monthly bank statement. The library will also acknowledge your total contributions for the year.

Donations by EFT help the library save money because we won't have to send you as much mail and process paper checks. The fees for EFT transactions are lower than those set by credit card companies. Your regular donation by EFT also creates a steady cash flow for the library.

EFT donations are safer than writing a check because fewer people have access to your account information, and the Electronic Funds Transfer Act of 1978 covers all EFT transactions. If you no longer wish to contribute, sending a written request to the library can stop regular payments.

For more information about this way to donate to Wood Library, contact Development Specialist Maria Bucci, at [email protected] or 585-394-1381 ext 328.
