Bulldog Pride Fire Recovery Update - May 18, 2012

Dear Woodburn Proud Supporter

As many of you know, last Friday May 11, 2012, our community experienced a devistating fire at Woodburn High School.  There has been an amazing community response to this event.  Woodburn Proud was in communication with the School District within a few days on where we could help.

This e-mail is to inform you of how Woodburn Proud, Inc. is participating and what you can do to help.  We have been keeping most people up to date on Facebook this week while we gathered information, prepared fundraisers, etc. but it's time we get a bit of this out in an e-mail.

Woodburn Proud, Inc. is dedicating itself to three main goals in helping with the fire and they include:

1) Volunteer Coordination

2) Donations

3) School Supply Drive

Volunteer Coordination

Woodburn Proud is the direct contact for the School District for Volunteer Opportunities.

We know at this point that there wil be no volunteer opportunities to clean up at the school.  This is handled directly through the School District and the Insurance Company.  The volunteer opportunities will involve helping the students and their Student Activities.

The activities opportunities will often change, volunteer opportunities will change, but our plan is to keep you posted on our website, Facebook and e-mails.

If you are not currently on our list, please e-mail us at woodburnproud@gmail.com with your name, phone number & e-mail.

In order to facilitate everything going on we have been using Facebook to communicate with most people.  We also maintain an e-mail listing.

Although it is difficult to have a fire like this in our community, our community comes together!  We sincerely appreciate all of the calls and e-mails we have received in the last week with interest in helping our youth.  This will be a long road, but together we will succeed.  We will do our best to keep you informed of all of events and fundraisers that we are given to help support our youth.

THANK YOU for continuing to be WOODBURN PROUD!  We truely live in one of the best communities around.

Sincerely,

Woodburn Proud, Inc.
