An Incredible Splashdown of a Woodcraft Ranger Story!

I was a Woodcraft Ranger in 68-69. I have great memories about Stanley Ranch and the powwows at the fairgrounds. I was selected to be on the Art Linkletter show to represent the Woodcraft Rangers. We filmed it and at the time it was going to be broadcasted on air there was an emergency interruption for the splashdown of the astronauts on the Apollo mission. They had an emergency so I never appeared on air. It was a great time learning all the badges and cues. Our leaders last name was Cochran and we were out of La Mirada at Gardenhill school... Once again good times with the Rangers.

Michael Dixon

After retirement from law enforcement, Woodcraft Ranger Alumni Michael Dixon went into the natural health area. He is the founder and currently the President & CEO of Maxcelint Laboratories Inc. (2000) , a dietary supplement (vitamins & minerals) manufacturing company headquartered in Lake Forest, CA. Michael is also the founder (1991) of The Research Lab (division of Gusty Winds Corp.), a Research & Development company, where he has developed several different items and hold several patents (in the U.S., Canada, Japan, China, Germany, France, and Great Britain). Michael is happily married with his long-time wife, Harlene Miller, an attorney in Irvine.
