Dear Parents and Guardians,
The students have transitioned nicely into their routines after Spring Break. The teachers have hit the ground running working on math fair projects, multiplying fractions, hands on labs in science, and reading and writing strategies embedded within their IB unit work. As we are beginning the AIR Assessments (
testing schedule
), I encourage all parents to ensure your student gets a good night's rest and eats a well balanced breakfast. The teachers have been reviewing some test taking strategies to support our students in doing their very best. What was noticeable during walk-throughs this week was the teachers were teaching standards aligned lessons that prepare our students for the AIR Assessments. I didn't observe any paper and pencil, kill and drill, methods being used in our classrooms. We have amazing teachers at Woodbury Elementary School!
Thank you for another great week at Woodbury Elementary School!
Always believe!
D. Young, Principal

We are also looking for monetary donations for "camperships" to help support all students' ability to participate in 6th grade camp. We welcome donations to the Campership fund!
