Prizes are as follows: 10 Bonanza tickets to the winner of each grade level, and the overall school winner will be allowed to choose the first jazzy jar on the Friday morning of Bonanza, September 14.
Thank You!
We are feeling the Bright love! So far, 92% of parents have given to the Bright Fund. If you're among the few who haven't given yet, go ahead and make your pledge or donate now.
Vision, Speech and Hearing Screenings Next Week
Students in grades JPK-2 and any new student will have vision screenings next Tuesday, September 11. A consent form is going home today. Please have those signed and back in the office by Thursday. If your child is not in one of those grades or is new this year and you would like his or her vision tested, please email school nurse Mary Catherine Robbins at [email protected].

Also, next Wednesday and Thursday, September 12-13, there will be speech and hearing screenings for kindergarten and new students.
Morning Arrival Reminders
Thank you for your patience during the morning and afternoon car line. Here are some reminders to make arrival smoother:
  • When turning left onto McDade from Hixson Pike, obey the directions from Officer Freeman and stop before turning if that short part of McDade with the yield sign is backed up. Do not try to squeeze in. Wait for Officer Freeman's go-ahead when the line of vehicles moves forward.
  • If your child is tardy, you must park your car and bring your child into the school to sign in. You may not drop off your child at the columns.
  • Do not park behind the school or on the access road beside Peeples Pavilion.
Uniforms
French Toast Sale

French Toast brand uniform clothing from Threads will be on sale next Monday, September 10, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Treehouse, which is located above the main lobby. Clothing will be marked 50% off. This includes short- and long-sleeved polo shirts that you may get embroidered through Threads. There will be order forms at the sale, and you may leave the shirts, order form and payment for Threads. Other items include j umpers, polo dresses, button-up shirts for boys and girls, pants, shorts, and skorts. Don't forget grades PK-5 will need a white polo shirt with logo and navy bottoms (jumper, skort, skirt or pants) for the Thanksgiving program.

Bright 1913 Bookstore

The bookstore is open on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. This is a great place to buy spirit wear that children will be able to wear later in the year for Bright T-shirt Days (once a month) and jackets and sweatshirts that are allowed to be worn in classrooms. Also, there is a good supply of approved bows for girls that match their uniforms.

Sunshine Math worksheets are now posted on the Sunshine Math webpage. Turn in the worksheets in the main office before the end of each month. For more information, visit the webpage or contact Noelle Coleman at [email protected].
