Charleston Wrap Begins
The Parents' Association's largest fundraiser of the year is Charleston Wrap. The sale begins today and lasts through October 1. Look for the information and sales packet in your child's backpack or bag today. Proceeds will go toward purchasing new furniture for all the first grade classrooms.

There are lots of great prizes. The top-seller prizes are a $200 Visa gift card, cooking class from Dish T'Pass and a really big hedgehog bean bag.

The school encourages online sales, but you may use the order form in the packet. Register your student online tonight and send 10 email invites to win a prize tomorrow. The school ID is z-11323. Turn in the coupons on the bottom of the prize poster to the office each time you reach a sales goal. Questions? Contact PA chairs Lucy Sawrie or Mary Catherine Robbins.
Reserved Parking in Front of ECC Building
Parents, please note the first two parking spaces in front of the ECC building on the right are always reserved for vehicles with government-issued handicapped placards. The area in between the spaces painted with blue lines is not a parking space. Also, the first parking space on the left is reserved at all times for the winner of the parking space auction. There are two other auction spaces in front of the columns entrance. Please do not park, even briefly, in these spaces unless they are reserved for you. Thank you.
Hurricane Florence Response
We are continuing to monitor the impacts of Hurricane Florence and evaluating ways we may be able to help the victims in North Carolina and South Carolina. We will have more details soon.
Time to Schedule Parent Conferences
The Parent Portal is now open to schedule parent-teacher conferences on September 27 and 28. September 27 is a half day with dismissal at 11:30 a.m. for students. There is no school on September 28.

Click this  link  to access the Parent Portal. To schedule a conference, select "Student Profile" along the top menu. This will take you to a new page. Along the left side menu you will see Teacher Conferences. Once you select this, you will see the options for conference times.

For multiple children, toggle between your children's names in the top right corner to schedule a time for each of their teachers. Students in grades 4-5 will have additional days and times available due to teachers meeting with the entire grade level.
Bright Afternoons for Conference Days
Bright Afternoons is open on the half day and full day of parent conferences. Please fill out and return this form by next Monday, September 24 to reserve your child's spot.

Parents may drop off children during their conference time only and pick up immediately afterward for no charge. Drop off and pick up at the ECC front desk.
Parent Reading Workshop
Parents of students in grades 3-5 are invited to Reading Night on Thursday, September 20, from 6-7 p.m. in the library.

The third-grade team will present information about the reading workshop model, which is now used in all three grades. For more details, read this letter.

Child care will be available that evening. If you plan to attend, please RSVP by signing up for one of the breakout sessions at the button below.
