Workforce Board Members Recognized for Years of Service at the 20
th Annual North Central Texas Workforce Awards of Excellence
ARLINGTON, Texas - Workforce Solutions for North Central Texas held an awards celebration on Wednesday, January 25th at the Ruthe Jackson Center in Grand Prairie, Texas. The Awards of Excellence is an opportunity to recognize and reward the hard work of the Board, workforce center staff, their customers, and business partners throughout the 14-county area the board serves.
 
Workforce Board Member Ada Lawniczak and Scott McCune were recognized for three years of service and Carlton Tidwell was recognized for five years of service on the North Central Texas Workforce Development Board.

Each year a Board Member is recognized for their contributions to the board and within their respective communities. Nominations were received for Elaine Zweig, Kenny Weldon, and Mickey Hillock. The Board Member of the Year award was given to Kenney Weldon.

Mr. Weldon has served on the North Central Texas Workforce Board since 2012.  During his tenure, he has been an active board member and serves as Chairman for the Strategic Leadership and Business Development Committee.  Serving as the Mayor of Stephenville since 2012, Kenny works diligently within his community to promote the importance of strong workforce and education programs.  Kenny is willing to contribute his knowledge and expertise to help improve the businesses in his community, as well as promote the importance of a strong, well-developed workforce throughout the North Central Texas region.
