Applying iPad Apps to Speech Therapy 
Workshop Description
Technology has the power to engage students, minimize prep time, and ease caseload management;the difficulty is knowing where to begin. This interactive workshop will cite the latest research about receptive and expressive language for preschool and school-aged students, and match common language intervention goals to iPad apps that address those goals.Additionally, apps that address following directions, narrative,morphology and syntax, and pragmatics will each be demonstrated and critiqued.
Learning Objectives

At the completion of this course participants will be able to:

1. Cite some of the latest research about engaging receptive language intervention.
2. Cite some of the latest research about engaging expressive language intervention.
3. List 5-10 iPad apps that address preschool and school-aged language intervention goals.

Jules Csillag is a licensed speech-language pathologist and learning specialist who has worked in a variety of settings throughout New York City including independent
schools, public schools, clinics, and her own private practice. She stays research-driven by attending and presenting at conferences. Most recently, she presented at the Everyone  Reading Conference, the American Speech Language Hearing
Association (ASHA) Schools Conference, and the YAI Conference. Jules is passionate about technology and differentiation, and those two passions often go hand in hand. Her mission is to increase access to evidence-based education for all types of learners.

Refund/Cancellation Policy
Tuition will be refunded less a $5.00 processing fee, if written notification is received by New York Therapy Placement Services up to two weeks prior to the workshop. Two weeks to 48 hours prior to the workshop date 50%; 48 hours prior to workshop, no refund would be available.
