Join us in April for the CTRC's 3rd annual workshop held in conjunction with the CTN's Telehealth Summit!

Remote patient monitoring, home health, and mHealth are in the news and on the tradeshow floors, yet many people find themselves with questions about the options available, the effectiveness of these options, and how they might get used in clinical programs.  This workshop will provide you with a closer look at these telehealth technologies and their role in an environment that is migrating away from encounter-based care and toward a new value-based, data-driven, patient-centered care model that rewards improved patient health outcomes.  Mario Gutierrez, Executive Director of the National Telehealth Resource Center for Policy will discuss the policy environment surrounding payment reform and Garret Spargo, Director of the National Telehealth Technology Assessment Resource Center, will discuss the state of the art for these many different devices.  In addition to the presentation, a hands-on session will offer attendees the opportunity to play with some of the offerings available on the market for consumers and clinicians.

In this workshop you will:

  • Hear the latest policies and reimbursement models
  • Learn how new telehealth technologies are being utilized to enhance quality of care, reduce readmissions and bring care to remote patients
  • Obtain an overview of available hardware and software
  • Understand the differences and similarities between the various monitoring options
  • Discover the common workflows used for different scenarios
  • Become aware of the important questions to ask when planning potential programs
  • Realize the role of hardware assessment in starting or expanding a program
Enjoy a hands-on experience with monitoring devices from the National Telehealth Technology Assessment Resource Center's lab
