Each class, we spend approximately half the class reviewing material that has already been introduced such as greetings, my name is, colors, numbers and body parts! The next half is dedicated to introducing new material.

In November we have been learning about the following topics:
  • Emotions (I am happy, I am sad, I am angry, I am tired, I am scared, I am confused)
  • Seasons
  • Fall Vocabulary / Thanksgiving Unit - We have been learning the words for Thanksgiving vocabulary and have also started talking about FOOD! Children have been also learning to say if they like, love or don't like certain Thanksgiving foods.

Do French and Spanish People celebrate Thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is traditionally an American holiday, although some cultures still gather as a family as a time to give thanks for all of their blessings!

It is also a fun time in a foreign language class to introduce foods, table manners and personal preferences!! This Thanksgiving... have your child ask you to pass the green beans in their target language, "Passez-moi les haricots verts s'il te plait!"
