Join WorldChicago members, visitors, and friends for an informal evening of free music in Millennium Park featuring Malian singer/songwriter Fatoumata Diawara. We'll be joined by young professionals from Hostelling International, Chicago Area Peace Corps Association (CAPCA) as well as some of our visiting scientists from Spain participating in a teacher training program at Roosevelt University. We'll reserve a space on the lawn with some refreshments, but feel free to bring a blanket and snacks to share!

Born in Cote d'Ivoire to Malian parents, Fatoumata Diawara now lives in France. Her music fuses elements of jazz, pop, and funk along with her ancestral Wassoulou tradition. The Telegraph calls her "the most beguiling talent to hit the world music scene in some time." Scottish artist Alasdair Roberts & Friends opens.

Free. Weather permitting.

WorldChicago will reserve a space on the lawn - LOOK FOR RED
& BLUE BALLOONS! Please bring your own blanket and snacks!

There will also be two volunteers at the red star on the MAP directing attendees to our space on the lawn!

Presented in conjunction with CAPCA, Hostelling International, and 25 visiting Science teachers from Spain participating in the
bi-lingual teacher training program Roosevelt University.
