Join Olympians, WorldChicago members and friends, and our many partners as we all celebrate together the start of the London Olympic Games - one week from today!
The festivities include a buffet dinner, cash bar, trivia games & prizes, and lots of socializing. We will enjoy our party in a private banquet room with a huge TV screen airing the Opening Ceremony (for those interested in quiet viewing) and in a separate bar space (for those who want to view and brew).

WorldChicago will host a public forum for a delegation of teens on the U.S. Department of State sponsored Iraqi-US Young Leaders Program. Participants arrive this weekend and will spend a week and a half in Chicago living with homestay families and exploring the themes of volunteerism, citizenship, democracy, and cross-cultural friendship and understanding. Based on their experiences in Chicago, come hear how they will use what they have learned to effect change in their communities. Q & A to follow.
Continental breakfast will be provided.
