Fall is in the air at the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA! We have a full line-up of exciting events in store for you this month. Please read on for all the details and important Y reminders.  

We also invite you to explore ways in which you can join our cause for strengthening the community -- Give, Join, Participate in Programs and/or Volunteer!  At the YMCA, everyone has a role to play.  Together, we can achieve so much more!

Register Now for Early Release & School Day Out Camps! 
The first YMCA Early Release Camp is this Thursday, Sept. 11. The first Day Out Camp will be Oct. 24.  Pre-registration is required! 
These fun-filled camps for 4K-5th graders are designed to give busy families peace of mind when Lake Geneva Schools are not in session. Activities may include swimming, gym games, art & crafts & more. See our camp page for full details & to download your registration packet. 

Register Now for Fall Co-Ed Skill Builders Basketball - NEW
(Grades K-3) - Registration deadline is Oct. 24.  Register at the Y.
Due to popular demand, we've added a fall session of basketball for boys & girls in K-1st & 2nd-3rd grade.  Includes skills & drills lessons & scrimmage games.  Begins Saturday, Nov. 1 - Dec. 13.  K-1st play 9:30-10:30 a.m. 2nd-3rd play 10:30-11:45 a.m.  Fee:  Members - $24; Community - $36

YMCA Celebrates Successful Community School Supply Drive!  
Thanks to everyone who attended our fall community open house on Aug. 22 and supported our school supply drive!  Your generosity touched the lives of so many local school children as they started school this month. What a blessing! Thanks again!

YMCA Reports Record Funnel Cake Sales At Venetian Fest 

Thanks to all our volunteers and staff who helped sell funnel cakes at our Venetian Fest fundraiser! Your dedication and support enabled us to raise nearly $11,000 for the YMCA!  We're grateful to the Lake Geneva Jaycees for allowing us to host this fundraiser at their event!

 

 

Y Facility Update:  The Y Goes Blue & Prepares for New Parking Lot & Carpet

As part of our continued effort to enhance your overall Y experience, we're pleased to announce the following facility upgrades.  

  • Have you noticed the spiffy new paint job in the fitness center? The bright blue replaces the dated mauve color and is bound to brighten up your workout!  
  • Parking lot Update:  Construction is underway this week 9/9-9/14!  Remember, please park in The Cove lot next to McDonald's. Rain may delay the project, so please watch our Facebook page and note facility signage for updates.
  • The Y will be getting new carpet!  The timeline has not yet been finalized, but we'll keep you in the loop.  This will really freshen the look of our facility!
Important Dates & Reminders
YMCA Children's Swim Suit Drive:  Sept. 2 - 21  

Did you kids outgrow their summer swim suits?  Please donate them to the Y this month! We'll accept your gently used or any new swim suits, & give them to children who participate in our
swim lessons or SPLASH program but can't afford the proper pool attire.  A donation box is available in the Y lobby. Thank you for your support, and please spread the word!
"Oh My Aching Back" Restorative Yoga Workshop - Sept. 19, 6-7:30 p.m.

Restorative yoga promotes healing through the release of stress, tension & anxiety.  Join us for this amazing Friday night workshop.  Cost:  $8 in advance/$10 at door.  Register at the Y.

YMCA 17th Annual Seniors' Prom - Monday, Oct. 27 5-9 p.m.
Join us for fun, fellowship, dinner, dancing, raffles, the crowning of prom king & queen, photos & more during this awesome evening of celebrating senior citizens!  Tickets are available at the YMCA.
